On occasion, quirks or bugs on social networks generate data that may cause duplicate or otherwise superfluous records in the archive. We recognize that these records can artificially inflate record volume reports, and already consider this when evaluating plan size.
To promote transparency and give our users more control over this content, we will now assign a system tag to records that we determine to be generated by a network bug and not by a deliberate user action. This will enable users to filter these records out of search results and exports.
The format for a new system tag is as follows
I_[network ID]_[incident ID]
Current Incident Tags
If you see these records in your archive, you can exclude them from searches by adding a term to your search
- Navigate to the Search tab
- Click the Advanced Search tab
- Set the first drop-down option to Tag
- Set the second drop-down option to is not
- In the last drop-down select the tags to exclude
- Click Search
