Social Media Archive (Formerly ArchiveSocial) is an app that connects to your Facebook account as a Business Integration.
Accepting all permissions is critical to completing the archival of your social media records. Permissions only apply to those pages, Groups, and Instagram accounts you choose to connect to the archive.
If your Facebook or Instagram are repeatedly disconnecting from the archive, you're receiving messages that Page permissions are missing or a Facebook/Instagram that your admin (administrator) hasn't shown up as available to connect, you may need to reset our app permissions for Facebook.
Instructions to Reset Permissions
- Click the drop-down arrow on the top right of your Facebook Profile
- Select Settings & Privacy
- Select Settings
- From the Settings menu on the left, select Business Integrations
- Find the ArchiveSocial (Social Media Archive) app and click Remove
- Click Remove in the pop-up box that appears to remove our app. There is no need to mark the checkbox to Delete posts, videos, or events ArchiveSocial posted on your timeline or Send a notification to ArchiveSocial that you removed it.
- You can now restart the Facebook and/or Instagram connection flow anew in the archive. Please refer to these instructions for Connecting Facebook Pages and Instagram accounts.
Note: Social Media Archive (Formerly ArchiveSocial) never posts on your account.
