Permissions Required for Each Network

For Social Media Archive (Formerly ArchiveSocial) to archive social media data on your behalf, certain permissions need to be granted from your account depending on the social media network. See below for the list of permission requirements by network.

Facebook and Instagram Permissions

To be able to do the following	Social Media Archive (Formerly ArchiveSocial) application needs this permission
Archive posts and comments you have shared in a group	Authored posts and comments in groups
Show the list of pages that you can decide to archive or not	Show the list of pages you manage
Archive Page messages	Manage and access Page Conversations
Archive Instagram insights	Access insights for the Instagram account connection to your page
Archive comments on an Instagram Page	Manage comments for the Instagram account connected to your page
Archive user-generated content on the Page, such as posts, comments, and ratings by users or other Pages and posts that the page is tagged in	Read user content on your page
Archive Profile and posts from the Instagram page	Access Profile and Posts from the Instagram account connected to your page
Archive using streaming which is a more efficient way of capture	Manage Account, settings, and webhooks on a Page
Enables Social Media Archive (formerly ArchiveSocial) to use Facebook Business Manager API. We use this API to capture data from Facebook.	Manage your business
Archive timeline activity	Manage content posted to your page

Twitter Permissions

To be able to do the following	Social Media Archive (Formerly ArchiveSocial) application needs this permission
Archive tweets, timeline,  profile, and direct messages	Read Twitter resources, including a user's tweets, home timeline, profile information, and direct messages.
Authenticate Twitter account	Request email address to authenticate users

To be able to do the following	Social Media Archive (Formerly ArchiveSocial) application needs this permission
Archive YouTube videos and comments	See, edit, and delete YouTube videos, ratings, comments, and captions
Access the YouTube account so that the user can connect and start archiving	View your YouTube Account

Pinterest Permissions

To be able to do the following	Social Media Archive (Formerly ArchiveSocial) application needs this permission
Archive Pinterest Content	Read user's profile, board and pin details, and pins on a board   Access the user's follows and followers (on boards, users, and interest)

Archive Vimeo Content	Access user's public and private data

Archive Flickr content	See user's photos, including private photos

LinkedIn Permissions

Social Media Archive (formerly ArchiveSocial) collaborates with Zix/Erado to be able to archive LinkedIn Personal and Company data. Zix/Erado asks for the following permissions during account connections.

 

To be able to do the following	Social Media Archive (Formerly ArchiveSocial) application needs this permission
Archive LinkedIn Profile	Access the user's basic profile including name, photo, headline, and public profile, and full profile, including your experience, education, skills, and recommendations
Archive LinkedIn content like posts and comments	Access to user's activity for compliance monitoring and archiving purposes

TikTok Permissions

To be able to do the following	Social Media Archive (Formerly ArchiveSocial) application needs this permission
Archive TikTok profile	Allows Social Media Archive (Formerly ArchiveSocial) read-only access to a user's avatar, display name, username, and bio
Archive TikTok Videos	Gives Social Media Archive (Formerly ArchiveSocial) read-only access to a user's public TikTok videos.
