The account owner role allows the user to connect social media accounts to the archive. Whether or not the user is also an admin will affect how they connect their accounts.
Connecting Accounts
Account Owners are emailed a custom link from support@archivesocial.com that takes them to a unique account connection portal, as shown below. The title of the email is ArchiveSocial Action Required: Archive your Social Media.

Logging in to the Archive as an Account Owner
Account Owners can now log in to the archive with an email password combination, just like System Administrators. To Set a Password:
- Navigate to ArchiveSocial's login page
- Click the Reset Password flow to initiate a password reset and access the archive, using the email that your Connect Accounts link was sent to.
Adding an Account Owner - System Admins Only
- Click on the Configure tab
- On the left-hand side, click the Social Media Accounts tab
- Click the Add Account Owner button
- The below pop-up window will appear prompting you to fill in the new account owner's admin's name and email address.
- Click Add and Send Link. This will send an email to the new account owner prompting them to connect social media accounts
Adding Multiple Account Owners at Once - System Admins Only
- Click on the Configure tab
- On the left-hand side, click the Social Media Accounts tab
- Click Upload Spreadsheet
- This pop-up window will appear prompting you to upload the spreadsheet file. Click Select File and choose the Spreadsheet to upload
Note: Follow the spreadsheet formatting instructions in the pop-up prior to uploading to ensure proper transferring of information. - Click Add and Send links. This will email a personalized link to each new account owner prompting them to connect social media accounts.
Removing an Account Owner
- Click on the Configure tab
- On the left-hand side, click the Social Media Accounts tab
- Next to the name of the account owner in question Select Remove
- Confirm by selecting Remove on the pop-up
