This article goes over the steps of setting up your social media archive. Setting up your Archive only takes a few minutes.
Gather User and Social Media Account Information: Who Manages What Accounts?
- Login credentials are required to connect social media accounts to the archive.
- Facebook and Instagram require a Facebook Profile with Admin rights on the Facebook Page.
- This is called Facebook Access with Full Control on the New Pages Experience
- If you have social media account logins or are a Facebook Page Administrator, you can connect accounts yourself.
- Otherwise, you can add co-workers as Account Owners to connect the accounts they manage.
- Facebook and Instagram require a Facebook Profile with Admin rights on the Facebook Page.
Set Your Password, Accept The Terms Of Service, and Login To Your Archive
- Primary Administrator: Find your password setup link in an email titled ArchiveSocial: Access your new archive, which is sent on your archive start date.
- Trials converted to subscriptions retain existing Admin login credentials.
Add Archive Users
- System Administrators manage users and records. Added on the System Admins tab, System Admins receive an email with a password setup link for archive access.
- Account Owners connect social media accounts to the archive. Added via the Social Media Accounts tab, Account Owners receive a custom link to their email to connect the accounts they manage.
- Only names and work emails are needed to add users. Emails do not need to match those used for account logins.
Connect Accounts
- Account Owners connect accounts using a custom link they receive in their email when added as users.
- System Admins who are also Account Owners connect their social media accounts directly from the archive.
- View instructions for connecting accounts.
